Loads of wonderful things in here! John Watson comes through beautifully. Why isn't he being told to sort his weirdo now? Love the fact that your Lestrade fights dirty, just as Arthur Conan Doyle's did, and that your Gregson is a tactless good, just like ACD's. Lestrade's limits, shown off to perfection thanks to his injury, still help make him look impressively tough.
Mycroft's transformation is thoroughly believable, and tentative enough to make for some great story... the tension is still there.
